Portrait of watercolor wedding stationery artist Vanya Halsey in her art studio.

Hi, I’m Vanya Halsey.

Growing up, there wasn’t a lot of art around me but I distinctly remember being enamored with every little bit that came my way. I would save my pocket money to buy and collect greeting cards, I’d stare at the bathroom wallpaper for ages, and savor every picture book I could get my hands on. I didn’t have the words for it, but the dream of designing stationery was taking root in me.

As the years went on, I never stopped painting. I’ve found that I’m happiest when creating for others - a handmade birthday card for my best friend, a drawing for my niece, or a felt birthday crown for my daughter.

This has naturally led me to the world of wedding stationery design. To see my work as a part of your special day is truly a dream come true and a gift I do not take lightly. Art is meant to bring us joy! I cherish every opportunity to do so.

the process

Every event we host is designed with intention, from the atmosphere we create to the way each session flows.

01
Initial call and booking

After receiving your inquiry, I reach out to you to book a call for us to get to know each other and talk over your vision for the project.

You then receive a quote. Once you transfer a 50% deposit, I begin working on your designs.

At this stage, I come up with a variety of ideas and present you with sketches for you to review and choose from. This is the point at which you can make big changes and I can make sure we’re going in the right creative direction.

02
Ideas and sketching

After the sketches are agreed upon and finalized, I move on to creating the final artwork. Once complete, you will receive high-resolution, print-ready files.

At the moment, I do not offer printing services, which is reflected in the pricing of my work. Since I work with clients worldwide, I find that this greatly simplifies the process, as it illuminates the potential for shipping issues as well as time delays.
